Job description
As R&D Manager at Gavita, you are the driving force behind the development of our innovative lighting solutions for professional horticulture. In this independent and strategically important role, you determine the direction of our R&D policy and translate market needs into applicable and groundbreaking product solutions. You are the point of contact for technical issues and innovation within the organization and coordinate projects from concept to market introduction.
Belangrijkste verantwoordelijkheden:
- Initiating, planning, and leading R&D projects, from concept phase to production
- Translating market needs into innovative and feasible product solutions
- Advising management on R&D strategy and technological opportunities
- Ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency in product development
- Act as a technical expert and point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
Candidate profile
- Academic working and thinking level, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Photonics, or a similar field.
- At least 5 years of experience in R&D, preferably in lighting or horticulture technology
- Demonstrable experience independently leading projects and advising at a strategic level
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
- Self-starter with a proactive attitude and an eye for innovation
