Project Manager Technical Projects – Vianen (Utrecht)
As a Project Manager at SteelcoBelimed in Vianen, you are responsible for the full realization of technical projects. From preparation and planning to execution and delivery to the client. You manage project teams, technicians, contractors, and subcontractors, and monitor planning, budget, quality, and safety. Full-time (36-40 hours) at an international organization in medical technology and life sciences, with a company car, laptop, and phone, 25 vacation days, and 13 compensatory time off days. Salary: €5.400 – €6.600 gross per month based on 36-40 hours.
About the feature
You are the connecting link between Sales, Project Management, Service, Engineering, clients, and external construction partners. You maintain an overview of the whole process, keep everyone involved aligned, and make adjustments whenever planning, costs, quality, or risks require it.
What you do:
- Project planning and execution: Develop and realize detailed project plans with clear goals, milestones, and deadlines. You coordinate on-site activities, align capacity and resources, and monitor progress.
- Team management: Manage, motivate, and guide project teams, technicians, contractors, and subcontractors. You identify development and training needs and contribute to the further professionalization of the team.
- Budget and cost management: Monitor project budgets, costs, and financial progress. You identify potential overruns in a timely manner, report on them, and take corrective measures where necessary.
- Quality and safety: oversee the agreed quality standards, procedures, and technical specifications, and compliance with safety regulations and legal requirements at the project location.
- Communication and reporting: Structurally coordinate with project leaders, technicians, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders, and inform management about progress, planning, costs, risks, and bottlenecks.
- Risk management: identify, analyze, and manage project risks, develop appropriate control measures, and ensure that deviations are resolved in a timely manner.
- Operational coordination: Participate in or delegate construction and project meetings, coordinate subcontractors and construction partners, and collaborate closely with colleagues within the execution team.
In this role, you combine technical knowledge with organizational and commercial insight: you bring together various disciplines and ensure a safe, high-quality, and successful delivery.

Requires:
- At least 5 years of experience as a project manager or project leader, preferably in a technical, industrial, or field service environment.
- Demonstrable experience with end-to-end project realization: from preparation and planning to execution and delivery.
- Experience with technical projects within electrical engineering and/or mechanical engineering
- Experience with project management at client locations and with coordinating contractors, subcontractors, and external construction partners.
- A completed technical education at MBO or HBO level, for example electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a similar field.
- Good technical knowledge of electricity and mechanics, and basic knowledge of pneumatic systems
- Strong leadership and organizational skills and a structured way of working
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, both spoken and written
- A valid VCA certificate or the willingness to obtain one
- Experience with project management software and digital tools for planning, progress monitoring, and reporting
