Physical Security Consultant – The Hague
As a Physical Security Consultant at Deerns, you advise clients on complex security issues in high-stakes environments: airports, hospitals, high-tech and clean technology locations, and large-scale real estate. You design security concepts, conduct risk and GAP analyses, and translate these into concrete security policies. You work from The Hague, on-site at clients' locations, and partly from home, in a position of 32 to 40 hours per week with a gross monthly salary of €4.500 to €6.500 and 33 vacation days.
About the feature
You work within Deerns’ Safety & Security Team on diverse national and international projects. You take a comprehensive view of security: organizational, structural, and electronic. Clients engage you from the initial analysis through to implementation.
What you do:
- Designing innovative security solutions: organizational, structural, and electronic
- Conduct risk and GAP analyses and translate them into concrete measures
- Drafting starting point documents and functional requirements specifications
- Assisting clients in developing and implementing security policies
- Collaborating in a multidisciplinary team of experts
You work in sectors with stringent requirements for continuity and access control – healthcare, airports, clean technology, and real estate – allowing you to quickly broaden your professional expertise.
Candidate profile

What do you bring
Requires:
- HBO work and thinking level
- Several years of consultancy experience in the security of organizations, buildings, and premises.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Proactive, analytical and customer-oriented
Pre:
- A completed education in security management, security engineering, or electrical engineering
- RSE or MSec certification of The Hague Methodology (DHM), or CPO (Certified Protection Officer)
