As a Technical Advisor, you are VIBA's go-to technical advisor in the Southern Netherlands for clients in the manufacturing industry working with mechanical fastening solutions, or fasteners. You manage and develop your own client portfolio and translate technical challenges into practical and efficient solutions. Thanks to your combination of commercial acumen and technical expertise, you are a key link for our clients.
You work largely independently within your region: South Holland, North Brabant, Zeeland, and Limburg. You visit the head office approximately 10 to 15 times a year. You advise engineers, technicians, and buyers on efficient fastening solutions and help customers optimize their processes.
Your focus is on a wide range of fasteners, including blind rivets, quick fasteners, threaded inserts, sealing plugs, tension clips, shaft locks, panel fasteners, installation tools, and automation solutions.
Thanks to your knowledge and advice, you help clients establish the right connection. Quality, support, and expertise are central to this.
You will start in this role from VIBA. At the end of this year, VIBA and Mavom will merge, and both organizations will continue together under the name Mavom Chemicals & Fasteners. As a result, you are joining at an interesting time and will be working within a technical organization with a broader portfolio and more specialized knowledge in the fields of adhesives, bonding, fasteners, and specialty chemicals.
Your duties will include:
- On average 20 to 25 customer visits per month.
- Managing and further expanding existing accounts in the manufacturing industry.
- Actively developing new customers and applications.
- Providing technical advice on fastening solutions, adhesives, sealants, and chemical bonds.
- Guiding test processes and applications.
- Acting as a troubleshooter for urgent technical issues.
- Guiding and actively following up on larger and strategic price requests.
- Identifying market developments and commercial opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues from Inside Sales and Product Management.
You operate independently within your territory, but you are never alone. You are part of a committed technical organization. With your commercial drive and technical expertise, you add visible value for your customers.
Candidate profile
We are looking for a technical advisor with commercial drive. You bring the following:
- Experience in a commercial field sales role within B2B.
- Affinity with fasteners, adhesives, sealants, coatings, or other technical and chemical applications, or the ambition to master this field.
- Experience within the manufacturing industry is a strong advantage.
- Technical insight and understanding of production techniques and structures.
- Independence, ownership, and perseverance.
- Strong communication skills at various levels.
- You live in or near the service area.
Terms and conditions of employment;
