In addition, this changed ambition also influences mobility in the labor market. New generations are less inclined to wait passively or remain in a single position for a long time; they actively seek challenging positions that are both technically and strategically relevant. This creates a context in which organizations wishing to compete for talent must align their structures, growth path, and project portfolio with a workforce that highly values ambition, impact, and learning opportunities. This exacerbates the labor market shortage for highly educated technical talent: it is not just about quantitative shortages, but about qualitative matches between ambition and organizational opportunities.
The implication for the technical sector is clear: those who wish to continue innovating must take capacity into account not only, but also the changing drivers of talent.
